The second phase of the development of the park is completed.
With the investment of 760 million HUF, the second phase of the development of the country’s first and only university industrial park ended. Centre president prof. János Nagy said at the closing conference that this industrial park as a sort of academic "knowledge based economy" aims to utilize the knowledge accumulated in the university primarily in the innovation. The park is now operating and IT Services Hungary Ltd provide jobs for over 1060 young people employing them in the field of information technology. László Stündl office manager of the Debrecen Rural Innovation Office noted that they spent 474 million HUF on the further development of the industrial park. Half of this money came from the Northern Great Plains Regional Operational Program.
