Debrecen University Hospital Has the Highest Debt in Hungary

Among Hungarian university hospitals Debrecen has the highest debt: 2.8 billion HuF.

According to hvg.hu, Debrecen University Hospital has the highest debt in Hungary which is 2.8 billion HuF. Debrecen is followed by Pécs and Szeged University Hospitals with almost 2 billion HuF.

In one hundred Hungarian hospitals, there are fifteen institutions with more than 1 billion HuF in debt. For instance, Péterfy Hospital in Budapest owes more than 3.7 billion to its suppliers, while Dél-Pest Centre Hospital has more than 2.6 billion HuF in debt.

According to the article of HVG, financing pharmaceuticals, consumable goods and overhead at the hospitals did not follow price increases.
