Calvinist University Congregation and students’ government try to build community spirit

The Calvinist University Congregation and the students’ government has announced to start a series of programs to create, strengthen and maintain the community spirit amond the youth. As the university priest Dániel Püski said, the aim of the programs is to make the youth to get to know the experience of belonging to a real community, to trust each other and to have real social life. According to his words, civil organizations has become weaker, dorm rooms smaller, but we have more and more Facebook friends.
He also added that belonging to a community should be one of the most important element of university life.
Volunteers will be present in the university 2-3 times of the week to entertain and befriend the university students.
Later, if the number of volunteers grows, they plan to visit other insitutions to show the young people that social life cannot be substituted by any virtual reality or cyberspace.
