Winners of the Flower Carnival

The winners of the 45^th Debrecen Flower Carnival were chosen by the public this year.

The flower composition of Álmosd, called “Kölcsey brings us together” was chosen to be the most beautiful flower carriage. The three pegasuses represent the horses of poets, immortality, love and the power of creation. The flying horses carry on the intellectuality of the famous Hungarian poet Ferenc Kölcsey. The designer and the sculpture of the composition is Sándor Pikó. The design of the flowers was made by István Antal and Istvánné Antal and the structural designer was Péter Kiss.

The award of the best artistic performance went to last year’s winner, the Valcer Dance Studio. Since its establishment in 1990, the dance studio organizes dancing courses and the talented ones are chosen to regard dance as a dominant hobby of their life and to get fame as competition dancers. The Valcer Dance Studio has represented Debrecen and Hungary in various international championships. The choreographers of this year’s performance were Márta Havas, Tímea Terdik-Tasi, Éva Dremák and Zoltán Szalontay. The teachers of the majorette group were Melinda Fekete-Erdei and Fruzsina Erdei.
